Way Back When digs deep into the colourful past of Black River, a seaside town best known for its beautiful river, the fact that it was the first small town in Jamaica to be lit by electricity, and its connection with the notorious slave ship, Zong.
We’ll experience the flavour of Black River today as people go about their everyday business, in a town which has seen its fair share of ups and downs. Our exploration will uncover a lot about Jamaica’s past.
